Kevin: Back at work part time (which is usually about 32 hours a week). Played basketball four times (!) Waiting for Spanish Fork Costco to open so he can get full time. Helping me TONS with notepad and other Lexiphilia orders. A champion at making dinner and doing laundry. Found out that the Elder's Quorum president in our ward is an old friend from his BYU Marching Band days, and he dated the wife of the 2nd counsellor in the Bishopric. Let's ignore the fact that I am the one from Provo, not him...yet he always seems to know everyone!
Daniel: Really liking school, making friends, loving scouts, and excited to start Track in a couple of months. Says that everyone at school is really nice, and there are no bullies here like there have been at his other schools. Still taking apart everything in sight. Played the piano at the ward talent show on Saturday. Discovered he likes grown up board games WAY better than kid board games.
Emily: Loving school and making friends left and right. Already finished all of the first grade academic goals for the year. Super reader. Still obsessed with horses. Excited to start soccer next month. Her teacher thinks she is just the cutest thing ever. Upset that one of the girls in her class isn't very nice to her, so she invited her to her birthday party. That's a very typical Emily move.
Jake: Sad that he is going to graduate from preschool. Really, really wants to learn how to read. Still addicted to video games. Still has a gross plantar wart on his foot that we have tried everything to get rid of. Very excited to start soccer next month. Always helpful and sweet, especially when video game time is being offered as a bribe. My most sensitive kid by leaps and bounds, and I can't help but want to just wrap him up in my arms and rock him like a baby from time to time.
Ben: Very, very upset that he can't go to Kindergarten next year, or play soccer this year. Insists he is big enough, because he has been growing super fast. Gets embarrassed really easily, and tries to hide it by making weird noises. Is pretty dang good at math for a 3 year old. Still bullies Jake all the time, and sneaks chocolate at every opportunity. Keeps us on our toes and very entertained.
Me: Working. That's pretty much it. Notepads, notepads, more notepads, prints, posters, emails, facebook updates, more emails, cards, custom orders, ordering supplies, changing printer toner, and on and on and on. I honestly worked at least 70 hours last week. Don't worry, I feel like a pretty crappy mom. The last of my latest deal orders should be in the mail Tuesday, but that just means another deal is starting in a couple of days. Anyone want a job packaging orders? Because I would hire you. In a heartbeat.
Other News: I have finally convinced Kevin, after years of pleading, that we need a trampoline. I am super, duper exited. Also, our anniversary is in a couple of weeks, and we are spending the weekend at a cabin in Kamas, complete with a snowmobile. It's going to be wonderful, and I will not be bringing the computer.
Consider yourself updated.
Please hire me! I'm not joking either!
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun times at the Good house! Glad the kids are doing so well at their new school!
